Jessika with a K Studios
Jessika with a K Studios is a woman-owned, disabled-owned small business founded by Jessika (with a K), who turned a personal challenge into a small business idea. It all started when Jessika was struggling to find the perfect gift for her dad. Always a tough one to shop for, she decided to draw a portrait of his beloved dog—something meaningful that would resonate with him. When her friend saw the portrait and absolutely loved it, she asked for one of her own. Soon, Jessika was creating custom pet portraits for her friend’s family members as well. That’s when it clicked: people truly loved these heartfelt, personalized artworks.
From there, Jessika decided to take the leap and launch an Etsy shop, officially turning her passion into a business. Today, Jessika with a K specializes in custom pet portraits, as well as a range of art prints, stickers, and most recently, planners! Jessika pulls inspiration from nature and pop culture references. Each piece is thoughtfully designed with attention to detail and love for the subject, whether it’s a pet, a favorite character, or the natural world.
In addition to creating one-of-a-kind art, Jessika is committed to sustainability. All orders are shipped in eco-friendly packaging, using packaging made from post consumer recycled materials and compostable packing materials, so you can feel good about your purchase and its environmental impact.
Jessika
Hi, I’m Jessika! I run Jessika with a K Studios, where I pour my creativity into all kinds of fun projects.
I attended art school at Ohio University with a focus in Photography and Graphic Design. I currently work (and for the last 10 years) in the healthcare field. Talk about complete opposites!
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me out in nature—whether it’s hiking, camping, or just soaking in some fresh air. I also love curling up with a good book and drawing whatever pops into my head. I have been creating since I was able to hold a crayon.
My furry family, Daisy (cat) and Delilah (dog), are always by my side, keeping life interesting.
Living with a chronic illnesses can be tough, but I try not to let it define me. My experiences with chronic illness influence my art and have given me some of the best creative ideas I’ve had!
